Spitfire "RF-M" was flown by Flight Lieutenant Piotr Łaguna, a distinguished Polish pilot with No. 303 Squadron during World War II. Tragically, he was killed in 1941 during a mission over France in Spitfire P8331, which also bore the "RF-M" code. "Laguna's Spitfire Legacy" is a project dedicated to preserving his memory and the history of Polish pilots in the RAF. The project is currently working on restoring Spitfire P8331 to flying condition, honoring Łaguna and his comrades by keeping their stories alive and educating future generations about their bravery and contributions to the Allied victory.
